Mallard Manor sleeps 4, with a queen bed in the bedroom which has a river-view window seat, and a queen sleeper in the living room. The stone fireplace, vaulted ceiling, sky lights, and comfortable furniture make this a delightful retreat in winter as well as summer. Mallard Manor enjoys peace and tranquility on a quiet country lane, but is less than a mile to downtown Monte Rio, with its public beach, boat rentals, movie theater, tennis courts, and restaurants, and a short walk to nearby Villa Grande Beach. There is private river access at Mallard Manor, with a seasonal dock and double kayak, but it is steep and not suitable for small children or people who have difficulty with stairs.
A spacious deck and comfortable patio furniture, with barbecue, provides excellent outdoor lounging and dining. And in the evenings, guests can relax in front of the fire while listening to music--or just enjoying the quiet.
