Location:
Tucked into the hillside amongst the redwoods, this cozy river lodge is within walking distance of downtown Guerneville with its shopping, dining and nightlife. There's river beach access across the street. Tennis courts and a children's playground are few minutes walk.
House:
Looking out over a grove of redwood trees, Forest Lodge is a traditional river lodge home, a cool retreat from summer heat and a cozy winter hideaway. This home is more spacious than its two bedroom, one bath size would indicate. In addition to a large living/dining room, with rocking chair, dining table for eight, gas fireplace, and comfortable country furniture, there is an even larger family room with wood-burning fireplace with insert, television, games, movies, and lots of floor space for children to play or grownups to dance. Forest Lodge sleeps six: one bedroom has a king bed, the second has twins, and the family room has a queen sleeper. The bath has shower only.
Grounds:
This home features a large covered front porch with Weber barbecue and outdoor furniture, from which the view is of the redwood grove below and the forest all around. There's a set of stairs from the driveway to the front porch.
