House: Absolute Zen sleeps four in custom designed, Asian retreat style on two levels. The woodsy location of this home is punctuated by artistically placed windows offering views of redwood forest wherever you look. This home has one, large bedroom suite with king bed, beautifully furnished and carpeted, on the upper floor. The bedroom suite includes a comfortable L-shaped, suede couch, an easy chair, shelves of books and a wide, flat screen TV with DVD. The room is heated with a gas fireplace. This bedroom suite also has a loft with a single bed, accessible by a ladder-stair. The bathroom is mid-level off the stair landing and has gorgeous tilework, bath and shower.

      The lower level has an open plan living and dining room with kitchen up a few stairs, all with hardwood floors. The living area features a comfortable couch with queen sleeper and wall-mounted, flatscreen Cable TV. The dining area is exceptionally beautiful with a glasstop dining table, upholstered endchairs and wood benches that are works of functional art. The room is heated with a gas fireplace. The kitchen combines more great tilework with high-end amenities, making for a pleasurable cooking experience. The living area opens onto a generous deck with an outdoor dining set for four people and gas grill, set amongst the tall trees. Down the exterior stairs, another deck is host to the four person hot tub and outdoor shower. This deck and the yard are surrounded by fences, secure for dogs and children.

      Grounds: Set into a hillside above Guerneville, Absolute Zen enjoys superior privacy due to the groves of redwood trees surrounding this home. There is plenty of easy parking in the front with a few stairs leading to the house. The backyard landscaping includes two fountains, a hammock, hot tub and outdoor hot/cold shower on deck, kept private by trees and fencing. There is a small, stone meditation bench with a view into the trees. A gravel path leads from the hot tub deck to the front gate. The rest of the grounds are covered in redwood chips. The fencing is secure and provides a fair amount (20' x 40') of safe running around space for dogs. This home is reached by a narrow, paved mountain road of two long blocks, steep for a very short distance.
